BORN OF ANUME
LA GRANGE, TEXAS
ANUME Farm is a Sacred Ground. Since 2014, it has invested deeply in people.
From its beginnings, we have had staff, volunteers, friends and families, consultants, builders, environmentalists, teachers, politicians, auditors, counselors, realtors, students, home schoolers, gardeners, other farmers, church leaders, newborns and more...
Whether their visit was to learn organic farming, earn an income, support me personally or help me establish the ANUME operation, all are important to its existence. They believe ANUME is a special place. They say it’s peaceful, serene, spiritual and energizing at the same time. It has to do with connecting to nature and stopping the frantic pace of daily life. But, it’s also about breathing fresh air, feeling soil on your hands, witnessing wildlife, eating wholesome organic vegetables and sharing in community with others.
While many visit our operations to assist us and learn, they know our main purpose is to grow organic certified produce and donate it to food banks in Texas, primarily Fayette and Travis counties. Feeding people, especially with the experience of COVID, is of primary importance for two reasons; to assist others when times are tough and the second is to benefit from eating organic produce in building immunity from disease and harmful chemicals, like pesticides.
ANUME Farm also offers learning opportunities - cooking classes, garden & personal journaling, raised bed gardening and composting seminars. We hold events that bring community together and highlight each of our unique talents.
